Kevin Garnett Is Coaching Blake Griffin on Post Moves at Clippers Practice

Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin is getting some expert instruction on post moves from retired superstar Kevin Garnett.

On Sept. 23, one of the greatest power forwards of al time announced that he will not continue to play in the NBA. But though Kevin Garnett retired from playing, he sure hasn't retired from the game.

The former NBA champion was spotted at Los Angeles Clippers practice helping younger players and power forward Blake Griffin work out. Griffin wants to get better at shooting 3's, but it looked like KG was teaching him some post moves.

Griffin played in only 35 games last season due to a suspension. He averaged 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4.9 assists a game. Surprisingly, he took most of his shots (292) from the mid-range area, around 16 feet from the hoop out to the 3-point line, and he shot 38 percent. The rest of his field goals (139) came near the rim, where he shot 72 percent.

KG might be helping Griffin get more creative around the basket, so he can score more points down low and resist the temptation to drift out to the perimeter. Whatever Garnett is coaching him to do, expect a tougher Griffin in the paint next season.
